David's first book, 'Time to Declare', covered his teaching career and came out as a limited edition. Following this, he was the ghost writer for the autobiography of former Manchester City and Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper, Eric Nixon. It is titled 'Big Hands Big Heart'. For his third book David collaborated with his wife Susan to write the inspirational story of family friend Hannah Rose who was attacked by a virus at the age of 15 and paralysed from the neck down. Her story is featured in 'Hannah, Same Both Ways' and is a moving account of how triumph has followed adversity and how Hannah has inspired others.
David is currently working on a follow-up about Hannah, provisional title 'Hannah Rose Again', as well as an account of the recent rise of Fleetwood Town.
