After many rolls of wrapping paper, scissor cuts and muttered expletives at the cellotape dispenser...I've made it! It's Christmas eve and all is well...almost.
I accidentally bent my thumb nail back and managed to rip it off earlier...OUCH!
There were more expletives, not so much muttered as screamed...
My main concern now is the laborious task of peeling the vegetables in the morning with a throbbing thumb and of course, struggling to open my presents? Luckily my wonderful other half will be cooking the dinner in his usual Masterchef style, much to the relief of the other members of my household. Okay, so I'm not the greatest of cooks but I'm a pretty proficient wrapper.
So here I am at eight o'clock in the evening, plastered (thumb...not the Baileys), content with an Irish cream on the rocks and ready for the onslaught of Brussell sprouts in the morning.
I'd like to therefore wish you all a very happy xmas. May the new year bring you everything you wish for.
