grandchild, and one dog – an old staffie.
She has always enjoyed reading and has been writing since she was a child with her first love being poetry.
Jeanette was blessed with excellent
English teachers throughout her school years and she also studied
literature. It was at this time
she fell in love with the written word and even requested a thesaurus for her sixteenth birthday.
When Jeanette’s family obligations lessened she started taking her writing seriously and began writing lessons.
Jeanette’s first two published novels, Heart’s Promise and Where The Heart Is, are set in her hometown in the 70s and 80s, and have elements
of truth running through them. They are loosely based around some of families she encountered in her youth.
Her third novel, Candy’s Man, is a sexy romance novel and is complete fiction.
Her fourth and recently published novel, Grapevines and Gum Trees, is
set in a historic town not far from where she lives but the story is a
fictitious one.
While completely different, all Jeanette’s novels are about relationships and love.
She has a favourite quote by Oscar Wilde - 'The very essence of romance
is uncertainty', and is the reason she writes love stories.
For Jeanette, writing and publishing her novels is a dream come true.
