Sheryl Browne, who is a member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association, is the author of six novels, and has just completed studying for an MA in creative writing through Birmingham City University. Her latest novel ‘The Edge of Sanity’ tells the story of a psychological battle between everyman Daniel Conner, who is forced into becoming a hero, after being tortured and forcibly drugged, and drug addict Charlie Roberts, who has taken Daniel’s wife and daughter hostage.

Sheryl’s debut book, Recipes for Disaster, commissioned by Safkhet Publishing, was
shortlisted for the Innovation in Romantic Fiction Award. Her previous release, Learning to Love – exploring the fragility of love, life and relationships, was written around a short, the theme of which was bereavement in childhood, which was selected for publication in the Birmingham City University Anthology, Paper and Ink, of which Sheryl is super proud.
When she’s not engaged in madcap conversations with fictitious characters, Sheryl would like to say she gets as far away from writing as possible. Persistent little darlings that they are, though, her characters tend to go with her, forcing her to undertake the odd dubious activity in the name of research. When she’s not to be found hurling herself out of airplanes or abseiling off buildings, therefore, she likes nothing better than messing about on the water in her little narrow-boat, Aquaduck.
